Women Who Don’t Wait in Line

There's never been a better time to be a woman. We live in an era when girls are told they can do anything. So why aren't we seeing more women rising to the top ranks of corporations and the government? Why don't our girls have more women in leadership roles to look up to? ···

Women’s Audio Mission

CHANGING THE FACE OF SOUND

Changing the face of sound by providing hands-on training, work experience, career counseling, and job placement to over 2,000 women/girls/gender-expansive individuals every year in creative technology for music, radio, film, television, and the internet.

Women's Audio Mission is a San Francisco-based recording studio and nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of women and gender-expansive people in music/audio production and creative technology, fields in which they are critically underrepresented. WAM uses music and media arts training, mentorship, and conferences to serve over 2,000 women, girls, and gender-expansive people annually in order to inspire them to amplify their voices and become the innovators of tomorrow.

WAM’s award-winning curriculum weaves art and music with science, technology, and computer programming and works to close the critical gender gap in creative technology careers. Additionally, our studios are the only professional recording studios in the world specifically built and run entirely by women and gender-expansive staff.

The Women's Tech Forum (WTF) is a grassroots effort focused on connecting women in the cloud, networking, and data center infrastructure industry. Our origin story came from asking two simple questions: "why aren't there more women in our industry?" and "how come more of us don't know each other?"
