API Rising
Empowering Future Asian and Pacific Islander Leaders
Less than 2% of AAPI Women are in C-Suite roles. And though AAPI are have strong representation in entry level positions, we see steep declines in promotion into senior leadership starting at the manager level. But why? We think the more robust leadership development and training is much needed to aid managers transition from individual contributor roles into people managers. Additionally many AAPI feel culturally misunderstood in the workplace and yet, even with DEI efforts, they don’t feel supported.
It is an inconvenient truth that our work places don’t provide enough culturally-conscious career development for up-and-coming API. API Rising is here to help.
