Fighting to Belong!
Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander history is American history. The unique experiences, challenges, and contributions of AANHPIs are an integral part of our country's development, but they are rarely taught in American schools.
For many Americans of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander descent who grew up in the United States, there continues to be a startling lack of opportunity to learn about our own history in our country. Even today, over 70% of Americans have little knowledge about AANHPI history or confuse it with Asian history. ···

Forage
SHOWCASE YOUR SKILLS. FIND YOUR CAREER FIT.
Forage works with global companies to transform the candidate which helps students gain skills and intimate knowledge about companies and their career options. By completing a course with one of the organizations on our platform, candidates gain the confidence to apply for roles with these organizations and land their dream job.
In 2017, Tom and Pasha realized there was a disconnect between university and the world of work. Moreover, it was obvious that large corporate firms were intimidating and seemed inaccessible to many students who lacked connections. From here, Forage was born.
Originally founded in a tiny office in the CBD in Sydney, Australia, Forage's first customer was a global law firm based in Sydney. From there, it wasn't long before Forage started acquiring both customers and students from all over the world.

G{Code}
A PLACE-BASED COMMUNITY FOR YOUNG WOMEN AND NON-BINARY PEOPLE OF COLOR PURSUING CAREERS IN TECH
G{Code} is an innovative, place-based initiative which connects women and non-binary people of color to educational and employment opportunities in the technology sector. The initiative combines affordable co-living, technology instruction, industry placements, and post-secondary education. We aim to tackle the STEM gender gap, income inequality, and the affordable housing crisis by recruiting Boston residents, specifically women and non-binary people of color, including those who are close to aging out of homeless shelters by offering them a place to live while pursuing a STEM education. Teaching the skills necessary to navigate the tech industry, this program ultimately provides participants with stable careers that will allow them to gain access to economic mobility.

Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media
IF SHE CAN SEE IT, SHE CAN BE IT.
Founded in 2004 by Academy Award-Winning actor Geena Davis, the Institute is the only research-based organization working collaboratively within the entertainment industry to create gender balance, foster inclusion and reduce negative stereotyping in family entertainment media.
Media is one of the most important factors influencing our values. Women and girls are 51% of the population, but entertainment media is bereft of female characters, with a ratio of approximately 3:1 male characters to female characters since the 1940s.
- Kids and teens (8-18) are engaging with media more than 7 hours a day.
- Media consumption impacts mental health: 52% increase in major depression in adolescents from 2005-2017.
- Sexualization of women in media linked to eating disorders, low self-esteem and depression in girls.

Gender Vender
WE'RE SUPPORTING LOCAL WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES.
Gender Vender is here to shatter the expectations on how we interact with vending machines. We're a vending machine pop-up that partners with local women-run business owners in the Greater Seattle Area. Our mission is to raise awareness in supporting local businesses run by women, sparking dialogue on gender inequality and enabling change through our vending machine. Through our partnership, we showcase our partner's founding story and have their products for sale to the public.
We believe in 100% woman-made products, and 100% of the proceeds collected will be donated back to local women based non-profits or organizations.

General Assembly
EMPOWERING WOMEN IN TECH.
Ada Lovelace is often considered the world's first computer programmer. Grace Hopper helped invent the computer compiler that led to the development of the COBOL programming language. Mae Jemison, an engineer, physician, and NASA astronaut, became the first African-American woman to travel in space.
Throughout history, women have played central roles in the advancement of STEM. Yet, the number of women in technical professions — particularly minority women — has steadily declined over the last few decades. GA has set out to help reverse that trend with See Her Excel.
